Summer is drawing to a close. Kids are going back to school. People are trying to fit in those last projects and vacations. We’ve been busy wrapping up summer plans too. In other news, we’ve been sponsoring the Wednesday night concert series held by the Skokie Park District. The most recent one was on August 5th and it was a great time. Not only did we make a donation to the park itself, but we also gave out gift certificates to the store. It’s something we’ve been doing for about three years now. Since Parks and Recreation facilities are suffering from budget cuts, we feel like it is a good way to show our gratitude. Plus, outdoor concerts and sweets go hand in hand, so we hope to see people redeeming the certificates for treats for the next show.
