Do you ship in the heat

We often get asked the question do you ship in the heat?

Since chocolate melts at 88 degrees Fahrenheit the answer is ... it depends on several things since:

    1. The actual temperature in Chicagoland
    2. The temperature where the package is being sent to
    3. The number of days UPS takes to ship the package
We reserve the right to hold the order a few days if it looks like it might cool down or even cancel the order.

We do our best to contact the customer by email and or phone.

Sometimes if a customer wants to take a chance on the package arriving we are happy to work with him/her to expedite shipping and using additional ice packs which increase the shipping cost.

As always if you should have any questions please contact our customer service department at 800-590-6887.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gluten-free_diet, A gluten-free diet is a diet completely free of ingredients derived from gluten-containing cerealswheat(including Kamut and spelt), barleyryeoats and triticale. Though most, but not all, patients can tolerate pure oat products, there is a controversy about including them in a gluten-free diet: some medical practitioners say they may be permitted, but theCoeliac Society advises against them.

    What is Lactose Intolerance?

According to http://www.lactoseintolerant.org/, Lactose Intolerance is the term used for people (like me) who cannot digest dairy products. We were born without or have lost the digestive enzyme enabling us to digest most milk and dairy products containing...lactose. The amount of lactase in the digestive system decreases as one gets older; you may have been able to digest milk as a child but now experience cramps, bloating, canker sores, yeast infections, diarrhea and gas when you consume milk.

What is your Gluten Free Policy?

Any product marked on our site as Gluten Free does not contain Gluten. Product's from Gimbals are certified Gluten Free while still in the Gimbals packaging.

All other products including Gimbals marked gluten free may be cross contaminated.

If you need products to be 100% gluten free we offer sealed Gimbals jars in variety of flavors or we are happy to open new bags put on gloves and do or best to minimize the cross contamination.
